The Israeli occupation government insists on dragging the region into escalation and a spiral of violence through its continuous crimes against the Palestinian people, the latest of which was the storming of the city of Nablus, the killing of a young man and injury of dozens of others, and the demolition of a house, the official spokesman for the Palestinian Presidency Nabil Abu Rudeineh said Thursday.
The Israeli entity’s policy of collective punishment whether through the demolition of homes, the killing of people, besieging Jenin, Nablus, and other Palestinian cities, or the unacceptable Israeli measures in Jerusalem, are war crimes according to international law to which Israel should be held accountable, while serious policies must be taken to stop them before it is too late, Palestine news agency (WAFA) quoted Abu Rudeineh as saying.
He stressed that “the continuation of these Israeli crimes against our people, our land, and our sanctities, makes the region sink into a spiral of violence and creates a state of chaos, which requires the international community to act immediately to stop them, provide protection for our people, and hold those responsible accountable and bring them to justice.” The presidential spokesman held the occupation government responsible for what he described as “the dangerous and accelerating events on the ground that crossed all red lines,” calling on the US administration to break its silence and oblige Israel to stop its daily crimes and violations against the Palestinian people and to implement the relevant United Nations resolutions and the signed agreements.
