Parliament affirms Yemen’s solidarity with Nigerian people and their right to self-determination

Parliament affirmed the solidarity of the Republic of Yemen, its parliament, government and people, with the Nigerian people , their legitimate right to self-determination , liberation from tutelage ,external domination, and the establishment of a democratic system that respects people’s will.

In a statement issued by it, the Council condemned Western intervention and the European-American attack on the people of Niger, expressing its solidarity with the Nigerien people against any foreign military intervention that undermines their freedom and independence.

The council praised the sacrifices of the Nigerian people in order to achieve their freedom ,independence and to restore all their usurped rights.

The statement pointed out the importance of colonial, hegemonic and arrogant countries, including America, Britain and France, absorbing the lessons that the era of colonialism and guardianship over peoples has ended irrevocably.

It also called on the international community to respect the right of peoples to self-determination, respect their sovereignty and will, not interfere in their internal affairs, respect the will of the Nigerian people, and support them to overcome the exceptional circumstances they are going through.
