PCFC Celebrates Official Launch of Dubai Logistics Academy, Recognises Key Partners.


Dubai: The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), alongside the Free Zone, hosted a significant event to mark the official opening of the Dubai Logistics Academy, an innovative educational institution dedicated to enhancing the skills of professionals within Dubai Customs.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event featured an award ceremony to acknowledge key strategic partners, including logistics companies and Dubai University, for their contributions to the academy’s establishment. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Sultan bin Sulayem, DP World Group Chairman and CEO and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of PCFC, Dr. Abdulla Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, and Abdullah bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department.

Bin Sulayem underscored the importance of the logistics sector as a pivotal driver of economic growth, which necessitates a substantial pool of professional expertise to fuel i
ts expansion. He stressed that the Dubai Logistics Academy is set to play a vital role in training professionals in the ports, logistics, and commercial services industries, thereby strengthening global trade and reinforcing Dubai’s essential role in bridging economies worldwide.

Nasser Al Neyadi elaborated that the establishment of the academy aligns with the transformation of government work, especially in the digital era and the rising adoption of artificial intelligence in government services. This evolution demands enhanced employee skills to meet the needs of the evolving global trade, investment, and logistics services sectors.

Dr. Busenad highlighted that the Dubai Logistics Academy will focus on nurturing and developing talent through an innovative academic and professional approach for both citizens and residents. He mentioned that this initiative, a part of Dubai Customs’ “33 Path,” includes specialised curricula and accredited scholarships, supporting the objectives of Dubai’s Economic Agenda. G
