President of Yemen’s Leadership Council Announces Recapture of Military Camps and Formation of Supreme Military Committee

Aden: President of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced the full success of the operation to recapture military camps in the governorates of Hadhramout and Al-Mahrah, as well as the interim capital, Aden, and other liberated governorates. Al-Alimi emphasized the importance of unity among all parties to restore state institutions, urging for strengthened cohesion and the mobilization of all resources.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Alimi also announced the establishment of a Supreme Military Committee, led by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy. This committee is tasked with preparing, equipping, and commanding military forces, ensuring readiness for the next phase. In his address, Al-Alimi clarified that recent decisions were not intended for forceful actions but to protect citizens' dignity, requiring clarity and commitment to the Constitution and transitional legal frameworks.

He reiterated that addressing the Southern Cause remains a top priority for the Council and government. Al-Alimi mentioned the upcoming Southern Dialogue Conference, to be held under Saudi Arabia's patronage, responding to demands from southern governorates.

Additionally, Al-Alimi reaffirmed Yemen's dedication to partnering with the Coalition to Support Legitimacy and the international community in combating terrorism and securing maritime routes. He called for the surrender of weapons, return of looted property, and reintegration into state ranks, emphasizing the urgency of enhancing security measures.

Al-Alimi expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's support, acknowledging its role in backing Yemen's government, security, and stability. He stressed that ensuring security and social peace are non-negotiable obligations critical for maintaining state cohesion and stability amid current challenges.
