Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and the Minister of Interior of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, held an official talks session in Cairo today.
Prince Abdulaziz stressed at the beginning of the session that this meeting comes to enhance security cooperation between the two brotherly countries, based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in light of the two countries’ distinguished historical and fraternal relations.
During the session, the ways of security cooperation between the two countries’ ministries of interior were discussed, as well as ways to develop them in the fields of combating crime in all its forms, tracking down its perpetrators, and confronting international drug smuggling networks, in addition to discussing a number of topics of common
interest.
The talks were attended by the Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, the Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini, and a number of senior officials.
