Qatar Celebrates National Day with Confidence in Its Achievements

Doha: HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi affirmed that the State of Qatar's celebration of this year's National Day comes as the country proceeds confidently in its achievements and remains steadfast in its path of development and progress, guided by the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency stated that the National Day highlights the values and principles established by the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, which laid the foundations of the modern state built on willpower and unity. The state continues its humanitarian mission supporting peace, upholding the principles of justice, and defending the rights of peoples to dignified living, freedom, and equality.

He added that the progress achieved in national sectors, especially the justice sector and legal services, results from His Highness' vision, which prioritizes serving citizens and protecting their rights, embodying the values of justice and the rule of law. This year's National Day slogan, 'With you it Rises, From You it Awaits,' reflects the nation's renaissance through the dedication of its youth.

His Excellency pointed out that the Ministry has made strides in developing the judicial system and enhancing legal services through the launch of the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, aligned with the Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030) and Qatar National Vision 2030. The plan includes 100 operational projects derived from seven strategic pillars, with 27 strategic initiatives and 27 performance indicators.

He emphasized the support from HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani in ensuring high-quality, accessible judicial services in line with global practices. The Ministry achieved progress in its digital transformation with the Real Estate Registration and Authentication sector launching automation of legal services, supported by the upgraded 'Sak' application.

The 'Sak' application now provides authentication transactions via video communication and services linked to the Digital ID System (QDI). It offers a unified interface for various apps, allowing property information display through QR Code scanning, with options for printed copies via Qatar Post. This led to the completion of numerous transactions, with a plan for 100% digital services by 2025-2026.

His Excellency noted advancements in legal professions, with over 400 experts registered and around 800 real estate brokers licensed under new frameworks. Over 300 new lawyers were registered after meeting standards. The number of arbitration rulings increased by 34% in the first half of 2025 compared to last year.

He affirmed that these figures reflect confidence in the legal environment and the justice sector's ability to absorb developments, enhance professional outputs, and build strategic partnerships with legal professionals. The Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Unit at the Ministry expanded its supervision of legal professions.

He explained that the Unit has worked on compliance among lawyers, experts, and brokers, developing monitoring tools and campaigns for adherence to legislative requirements. The Ministry is preparing to launch a judicial project to automate legal services, including international cooperation and arbitration services, with 100 new electronic services planned.

Preparations are underway for the first Legal Hackathon with UNITAR and the Doha Legal Forum next January, aiming to position Qatar as a hub for legal research and policy development. The Minister concluded by affirming National Day as an occasion to renew loyalty to leadership and inspire creativity, strengthening Qatar's status as a force for good and peace.
