Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced the latest deposit rates for a variety of currencies, effective from Tuesday. The bank's updated rates cover several major currencies, including the US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), Swiss Franc (CHF), and British Pound (GBP), as well as regional currencies such as the Qatari Riyal (QAR), Saudi Riyal (SAR), UAE Dirham (AED), and Bahraini Dinar (BHD).
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 3.73564% for a one-month term, decreasing slightly to 3.48776% for a twelve-month term. The JPY rates begin at 0.45000% for one month and increase to 0.70000% for a year. CHF rates are negative, starting at -0.13000% for one month and stabilizing at -0.01000% for both six and twelve months. GBP rates start at 3.86000% for one month and peak at 4.0100% for twelve months.
For the regional currencies, QAR deposit rates begin at 4.02500% for one month, tapering to 3.72500% for a twelve-month period. SAR rates start at 4.50000% for one month and remain consistent at 4.30000% for longer terms up to a year. The AED rates increase from 2.05000% for one month to 3.15000% for twelve months. BHD rates start at 4.54000% for one month and decrease to 4.3400% for a twelve-month period.
