QU to Celebrate Graduation Ceremony for 46th Batch

Qatar University (QU) will celebrate its Graduation Ceremony for the 46th cohort (Class of 2023) on Monday and Tuesday.

The total number of graduates this year is expected to be around 3,907 graduates, which includes 2602 Qataris (373 males and 2,229 females) and 1,305 residents and international students (390 males and 915 females). The number of distinguished graduates is 598 including 105 males and 493 females.

According to the schedule of the graduation ceremonies that will be held in the QU’s Sports and Events Complex, the main ceremony for male graduates will be on May 8, followed by the ceremony for distinguished female students on Tuesday, May 9 and the faculties’ ceremonies that will last until May 13.

Vice President for Student Affairs at QU, Dr. Eiman Mustafawi said in a press conference today that the graduation ceremony is considered the most important annual event organized by the QU, as it represents an occasion awaited by students and society in general, pointing out that the graduation ceremony will include holders of all academic degrees – Bachelor’s, Diploma, Master’s, Ph.D., Pharmacist), who have completed graduation requirements by the end of semesters (summer 2022, fall 2022 – winter 2023 – and those expected to graduate in spring 2023).

She added that the graduation of 3907 graduates reflects the QU’s commitment to boosting higher education, stressing that every graduate has a unique success story that represents the challenges they went through, and the achievements they achieved during their academic career, to become the forearms of this country, and contribute to its construction, development and prosperity.

She confirmed that the organizing committee of the graduation ceremony has completed all basic arrangements, noting that the graduates have been contacted and invitations have been sent to them and their families via e-mail.

Mustafawi also expressed her aspiration to present a distinguished edition of the graduation ceremony this year, and to provide an enjoyable and joyful experience for all, congratulating all graduates on their achievements and successes, calling on them to continue to develop their skills and abilities, achieve their goals, and contribute effectively to building society and the nation.
