Ras al khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasised the critical role of education in human development and sustainable growth during a prestigious ceremony at the Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Centre. The event marked the 19th annual RAK – Awards for Educational Excellence, celebrating the emirate’s commitment to shaping the future through education.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Saud highlighted the essential nature of education in building a strong nation, connecting communities, and driving progress. He honoured educators, students, and institutions for their dedication to shaping minds and guiding future leaders. The ceremony recognised 71 award recipients across 38 categories, showcasing the breadth of contributions from early learning centres to universities and parent communities.

The awards ceremony underscored a holistic approach to educational excellence, celebrating achievements in academic performance, student wellbeing, innovation in teaching, and environmental stewardship. The winners were commended for their involvement in pioneering AI programmes, STEAM initiatives, inclusive classrooms, and green campus projects, all of which demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to improvement.

Launched in 2004 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the RAK – Awards for Educational Excellence is a cornerstone initiative in Ras Al Khaimah’s education sector. It aims to foster a culture of excellence and honour outstanding educational achievements.
