Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA), praised the efforts made by the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) in issuing the Health, Safety and Environment Manual for the management of projects under its supervision.
He pointed out that the SDPW is a pioneer in providing initiatives that preserve the safety of workers, and the manual that has been issued will avoid many dangers in construction sites.
He also commended the integration of roles and efforts between government departments to implement Sharjah Executive Council Resolution No. 15 of 2021 regarding the Sharjah Occupational Safety and Health System, which the SPSA plans to launch at the end of next September, during the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF).
Zubaida Abdelaziz, Head of the Government Communications Department at the SPSA, pointed to the development of government departments for safety, health and occupational systems, according to the nature of their activities, which contributes to achieving the highest levels of safety in the emirate.
