Samsung Innovation Campus 2026 Launches AI Training for 250 Emirati Students

Dubai:Samsung Gulf Electronics, in collaboration with the UAE's Artificial Intelligence Office, has launched the 2026 edition of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), welcoming 250 UAE Nationals to a program aimed at developing skills in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and deep learning.

According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative is exclusively available to UAE Nationals aged 18 to 29 and offers structured technical training to enhance participants' understanding of AI and its applications, preparing them for future workforce opportunities.

The program is aligned with UAE Codes Day, celebrated annually on October 29, reflecting the country's commitment to making coding and AI essential skills for the future. It supports national efforts to expand access to hands-on learning in advanced technologies, in line with the UAE leadership's vision to invest in people and empower the next generation.

The curriculum includes Python programming, probability and statistics, machine learning, and deep learning, progressing from foundational concepts to more advanced applications. A new generative AI course is also introduced, allowing participants to explore a rapidly developing area of AI and build relevant skills.

Shafi Alam, Senior Director and Head of the Direct to Consumer and Corporate Marketing Division at Samsung Gulf Electronics, expressed excitement about the launch, emphasizing the focus on equipping young Emiratis with knowledge and technical skills to leverage AI in various industries. The program, part of Samsung's global corporate social responsibility initiative, aims to support the UAE's ambitions in AI by developing national talent and local expertise in advanced technologies.

The UAE Codes Day commemorates the launch of the region's first e-government initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on October 29, 2001. In November 2023, UNESCO adopted the UAE's proposal to designate October 29 as the International Day of Programming, highlighting the UAE's leadership in programming and technology.
