Samsung’s Brand Value Reaches US$97.4 Billion, Ranks Eighth Globally

Abu dhabi: The brand value of Samsung Group has reached US$97.4 billion this year, placing it eighth among major global technology companies, as reported by Yonhap News Agency.

According to Emirates News Agency, this marks an 8.9% increase from the previous year's estimate of $89.4 billion, as evaluated by Brand Finance, a global brand valuation consultancy. Despite the slight drop in its ranking by one spot from the previous year, Samsung remains the only South Korean brand in the top 10.

SK hynix Inc., another South Korean company, improved its position by climbing to 28th. Meanwhile, LG Group experienced a drop, falling eight places to 44th. Coupang Inc., a US-listed e-commerce giant with the majority of its revenue generated in South Korea, ranked 49th, a decrease of one spot from last year.

Naver Corp., South Korea's leading search engine operator, saw an improvement, advancing five spots to rank 95th. Meanwhile, the distribution of the top 100 brands was led by the United States with 46 entries, followed by China with 25 and Japan with nine.

Globally, Apple Inc. secured the top position with a brand value of $607.6 billion, followed by Microsoft Corp., Google LLC, and Amazon.com Inc.
