Sana’a committee reviews progress of community initiative projects


The committee overseeing the execution of community initiative projects in Sana’a province convened on Wednesday under chairmanship of Secretary-General of the Local Council Abdulqader al-Jailani to evaluate the progress of projects approved in the province’s plan for the year 1444 AH.

Attending the meeting were Administrative Body members Mahyoub Mahdi and Ali al-Suhaili, as well as Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Local Administration, Mohammed al-Sanhani for Local Plans and Budgets and Engineer Saleh al-Muntaser for Technical Affairs.

The review highlighted that out of 41 projects planned for 1444 AH, 30 have been completed, with four currently under implementation.

This reflects an achievement rate of 83 percent, with a total expenditure of 637 million and 982 thousand riyals.

For the 1445 AH plan, the committee noted that eight out of 14 approved projects have been completed, and two are underway, marking an 86 percent completion rate as of the 24th of Muharram.

The meeting also addressed challen
ges faced during project implementation and emphasized the need to resolve these issues to align with the local authority’s development goals.

Secretary-General al-Jailani underscored the importance of finalizing documentation for completed projects and expediting the implementation of ongoing ones.
