Saud bin Saqr Attends ‘Melodies of the Far East’ Concert Celebrating 40 Years of UAE-Chinese Diplomatic Relations.


Ras Al Khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended the ‘Melodies of the Far East’ concert, marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China. The event was graced by the presence of Zhang Yiming, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, and George Yeo, former Foreign Minister of Singapore.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Saud highlighted the UAE-China relationship as a model for international relations. Over the past four decades, the partnership has seen progress and development in numerous fields, culminating in a strategic alliance that supports mutual growth and prosperity. He emphasized the shared vision of both nations, which continues to strengthen bilateral cooperation and unlock future opportunities for advancement.

Sheikh Saud praised the cultural cooperation between the UAE and China, grounded in deep-rooted historical ties. This cooperation is reflected in cultur
al exchange and collaborative efforts across commercial, economic, and developmental fields, further strengthening the bond between the two nations and their peoples.

The concert, attended by several officials, reaffirmed the strong friendship between the UAE and China. It featured musical performances that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of both countries. The renowned Chinese Eastern Arts Troupe presented a distinguished performance, blending traditional Chinese music and dance with presentations inspired by global cultures.

The event was organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the UAE, in collaboration with the Chinese Cultural Centre in the UAE, and took place at the Ras Al Khaimah Creative Hub.
