Saudi Arabia to Participate in Eurosatory 2024 in Paris

Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will participate in the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition, the global event for defense and security, slated to be held between June 17 and 21, in Paris.

The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) has intensified its preparations for this participation, in collaboration with public and private sector partners.

The Saudi pavilion will include the Ministry of Investment’s Invest Saudi platform, the General Authority for Defense Development (GADD), and several major Saudi institutions and companies specialized in military industries, including the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (Saudia Technic), Life Shield, Scopa, Arabian International Company (AIC), Saudi Leather Industries Company (SLIC), Al-Esnad for Military Supplies Company, Khidmat Ray Manufacturing Company (KRMC), and the World Defense Show (WDS).

Taking part in the event is bound to enhance the Kingdom’s presence on the international stage, highlight its attract
ive investment environment, and welcome global investors in the military industries sector.

The Kingdom seeks to intensify research and innovation activities in military industries, aligned with the GAMI’s tasks and national priorities.

The focus will be on showcasing key policies, laws, and incentives that stimulate the localization process and empower the military industries sector, enhancing supply chains and investment opportunities, highlighting the leading Saudi military industries products, and uniting efforts to implement the military industries strategy.

The Saudi participation in the event underscores the unlimited support and special attention the military industries receive from the wise leadership whose vision is to increase the Kingdom’s strategic independence, develop its military-industrial capabilities, and localize this vital sector by more than 50% of military equipment and services spending by 2030.

The goal is for the military industries sector to become a significant contributor to t
he Saudi economy through enhanced research, innovation, and technology transfer and localization, job opportunities for Saudis, maximizing its potential, and reinforcing its essential role in building a vibrant and prosperous economy.
