The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)’s Global Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation (GC-SLT), held in the Italian capital, Rome, between September 25 and 27, with the participation of 28 ministers and 700 officials and experts from 84 countries.
The Saudi representative to FAO Mohammad Al-Ghamdi said that Kingdom’s participation in GC-SLT came to re-emphasize its pioneering roles in livestock development and the achievements it has realized over the years in improving the sector, protecting natural resources, supporting small breeders, and creating investment opportunities.
He also noted that the Kingdom was present at the conference’s three sessions, where Saudi expertise in utilizing modern technologies in boosting livestock production and ensuring food security in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 was highlighted.
