Saudi Electricity Subsidiary Dawiyat Prepares Robust Communication Infrastructure for Hajj Season

Makkah, Dawiyat Integrated Telecommunications and Information Technology Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), has announced its comprehensive operational plan for the Hajj season 1445 AH. This plan prioritizes seamless communication services for pilgrims.

Dawiyat confirmed the successful completion of all technical tests for its services. Notably, the company automated over 2,400 distribution stations connected by a robust fiber-optic network exceeding 330 kilometers. This network feeds directly into the distribution control centers located in Makkah and the holy sites.

The plan outlines establishing four key Dawiyat sites in both Mina and Arafat, boasting capacities of up to 400 gigabits per second. Additionally, a dedicated center for monitoring and controlling the optical network within the holy sites has been established at the Operations and Control Building in Mina. Dawiyat has further ensured the integration of security monitoring services with SEC stations in the holy sites,
Makkah and Madinah.

Furthermore, Dawiyat has completed connecting the Majar Al-Kabsh building and its affiliated centers with high-capacity communication circuits (up to 10 gigabytes). This facilitates integrated control and monitoring of the electrical network, communication infrastructure, and information technology services. This enhanced connectivity aims to deliver exceptional service quality to pilgrims and Umrah performers, contributing to a richer and more fulfilling experience.
