Saudi Food and Drug Authority CEO Participates in World Food India Conference

New Delhi, The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, participated today in the opening of the World Food India Conference 2023 (WFI), organized by the Indian Ministry of Food Industries (MoFPI) in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), November 3-5 in New Delhi, India.

Dr. Aljadhey met with several officials of regulatory, industry, and investment authorities from multiple countries on the sidelines of the event. He also toured the most prominent pavilions in the exhibition, which brings together more than 1,000 companies, showcasing investment and cooperation opportunities in food processing, technology, equipment, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics services, cold chain, and retail sales.

Dr. Aljadhey was on an official visit to India during which he discussed enhancing the quality and safety of medicines with the director of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). He met with pharmaceutical, food, and medical device companies, discussing the challenges facing pharmaceutical factories to enter the Saudi market or increase products and find appropriate solutions for them in the presence of the Indian Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council, Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance, Indian Drug Manufacturers Association, Food, and Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).
