The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association’s pavilion at the 43rd World Scout Conference in Cairo has been a major attraction, drawing visits by global and Arab scouting leaders.
The head of the Saudi delegation, Dr. Abdulrahman Almedaires, received yesterday notable guests at the pavilion, including the World Organization of the Scout Movement’s Secretary General Ahmad Alhendawi, and Chairperson of the World Scout Committee Andy Chapman.
Visitors were impressed by the association’s work in environmental conservation, volunteer efforts during the Hajj and Umrah seasons in Makkah and Madinah, commitment to developing scouting leadership, participation in regional and global events, and its history of attending World Scout Conferences. They also expressed appreciation for the delegation’s role in sharing Saudi culture and hospitality.
The Saudi delegation at the conference takes part in discussions covering global trends, scouting’s future strategy, and planning the framework of the World Organization of the Scout
Movement.
