Tabuk, The Saudi U23 triathlon team is currently undergoing intensive training in Tabuk.
The training camp, which will last until August 8, is a crucial part of preparation to represent the Kingdom at two significant events on the International Federation’s calendar: the Asian Championship, set to be hosted by Jordan in early November, and the World Championship, scheduled for November 15 in the UAE.
Triathlon combines three disciplines: swimming, cycling, and running. The International Federation governs the sport, approving distances for both sprint and Olympic triathlons. Sprint triathlon includes a 750-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a 5-kilometer run. In Olympic triathlon all these measures are doubled, demanding even greater endurance and skill from the athletes.
The rigorous training in Tabuk is bound to hone the team’s skills and build the stamina required to excel in these upcoming international competitions.
