Sharjah: Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) held a panel discussion titled “Capacity Development: Towards Success in the Workplace” at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah.

According to Emirates News Agency, the session was attended by Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Executive Council Member of Sharjah and Head of the Human Resources Department, along with various directors, officials, and employees from government entities and institutions across Sharjah. The discussion was led by Dr. Saeed Harib Al Mansoori, a human resources expert with the Sharjah Police General Headquarters.

The panel delved into several critical topics, such as the importance of continuous development and strategies for capacity building. Discussions highlighted methods like self-learning, training courses, reading, education through online platforms, and involvement in volunteer projects as effective ways to enhance skills.

Additionally, the session addressed essential skills needed in the current job market and the challenges individuals might face in improving their abilities. It emphasized the importance of institutional support in employee capacity development through training programmes, nurturing a learning culture, and providing opportunities for professional growth.

Al Zaabi stated that holding such sessions aligns with efforts to improve government work environments and advance human resources professionally. This approach supports the strategic goals of the Sharjah government in developing human capital.
