Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired a meeting at the Ruler's Office, where significant advancements in government operations were discussed.

According to Emirates News Agency, the SEC approved the general organisational structure of the Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR). This decision is part of the Government of Sharjah's ongoing efforts to enhance government operations in line with international standards and to bolster the emirate's human resources framework. The initiative is aimed at equipping Emirati talent with essential skills, expanding employment opportunities, and fostering a motivating work environment to uplift job satisfaction among government employees.

The council also reviewed the "Etimad" Licence report, which is a key initiative supporting home-based businesses in Sharjah. The report indicated that there are currently 1,394 active licences across the emirate, helping families transform their ideas and skills into productive enterprises. The SEC approved recommendations to support these businesses in overcoming challenges and expanding their reach, with the goal of evolving into larger commercial entities aligned with advanced models promoting sustainability within Sharjah's economic ecosystem.
