SEC Reviews Report on SPEA Strategy 2025-2028

Sharjah: The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) convened for its regular meeting under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the SEC. The meeting, attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, took place at the Sharjah Ruler's Office.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Council engaged in discussions on various topics related to government performance and strategic plans, aimed at achieving institutional excellence and improving services for the citizens and residents of Sharjah. Among the decisions made was the transfer of Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed bin Saif Al Qasimi to the Labour Standards Development Authority, where he will serve as Director while maintaining his current grade.

The Council also reviewed an initiative intended to support bereaved families by providing condolence services, including the provision of condolence tents and booking facilities in neighbourhood majlis, alongside hospitality and guidance services for gatherings.

A significant portion of the meeting was devoted to evaluating the third cycle of the Sharjah Private Education Authority's (SPEA) Strategy 2025-2028. The report highlighted key statistics, such as the presence of over 12,000 teaching staff and more than 201,000 students across private educational institutions in Sharjah. It also showcased the achievements of the second strategic cycle, including an 80% increase in schools rated 'Very Good', efforts in localizing teaching staff, and a 93% parental confidence level in the education system.

The report further detailed the Authority's initiatives in teacher training, development, and the implementation of performance indicators and benchmarks for the new strategic cycle, along with enhancements in digital services.
