Sharjah: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), in cooperation with the Shams AI Club of Sharjah Media City (Shams), organised a specialised workshop titled 'Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media.' This initiative aligns with the Department's ongoing efforts to develop its employees' skills and keep pace with rapid developments in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, aiming to enhance performance efficiency and improve output quality.
According to Emirates News Agency, the workshop covered a range of topics related to artificial intelligence applications in digital media. It included an introduction to AI concepts and their development, linguistic models, and AI applications in content creation, media, and digital marketing. The session also delved into command engineering, image and video production, the ethics of AI use, and explored the skills required to adapt to the future of work, enabling participants to employ these technologies more efficiently and effectively.
The workshop also aimed to raise awareness of AI potentials and introduced best practices for utilising them in the work environment. Emphasis was placed on the importance of the responsible and effective use of these technologies to achieve added value for institutional work while maintaining content quality and credibility.
Commenting on the workshop, Abdulaziz Omar Al Midfa, Director of Government Communication Department at SEDD, explained that organising this workshop aligns with the Department's direction towards investing in human capital and raising staff readiness to handle rapid technological changes. This effort supports the Government of Sharjah's orientations to promote artificial intelligence, innovation, and digital transformation across various sectors. Al Midfa highlighted the importance of quality partnerships in exchanging knowledge and experiences, providing learning and development opportunities for employees, and enhancing the creation of an innovative work environment capable of leveraging modern technologies to develop services and improve institutional performance.
