Seventh UMEX and SimTEX to Draw Over 700 International Defence Leaders

Abu dhabi: ADNEC Group, a Modon company, is set to host the seventh and largest edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX) from 20th to 22nd January 2026. This event will bring together the world's leading innovators, decision-makers, and industry leaders in the field of defence technology.

According to Emirates News Agency, the International Defence Conference (IDC) will precede UMEX and SimTEX on 19th January, serving as a platform for senior leaders and experts to discuss the future of intelligent autonomy in defence. IDC is recognized as a premier global forum where defence and security leaders can tackle the pressing challenges and opportunities in the evolving defence landscape.

Under the theme 'Smart Horizons: Redefining Defence Through Intelligent Autonomy,' the IDC agenda focuses on interconnected themes such as digital command networks, operational integration of autonomy, and the establishment of global standards for autonomous systems. These themes emphasize the transformative role of AI and autonomy in defence, underpinned by trust, ethical responsibility, and robust standards.

Over 700 international defence leaders, military attaches, and international delegations are expected to attend, offering opportunities to network with industry professionals and gain insights from global experts across three cutting-edge panels. Attendees will also explore the latest technological advancements and strategies reshaping global defence.

Following the IDC, UMEX and SimTEX will take place from 20th to 22nd January. The 2026 edition is set to be the largest in the event's history, featuring record participation from international organizations, government and private entities, and research institutions. UMEX and SimTEX have established themselves as definitive global platforms for unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, simulation, and training.

The expanded exhibition space and enhanced features align with the Group's commitment to positioning Abu Dhabi as a global hub for innovation and business tourism. This year's event will showcase a wide range of commercial, civilian, and defence technologies, including advanced UAVs, autonomous vehicles, and AI-driven training systems.
