Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Discusses Leadership and Legacy at Davos 2026


Davos: Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nayhan, President and CEO of Frontier25 and The Climate Tribe, engaged in a fireside chat with Mina Al Oraibi, Editor-in-Chief of The National, at the UAE Pavilion during the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting. The discussion centered around Sheikha Shamma’s initiatives in leadership, sustainability, social impact, and cultural responsibility, highlighting her roles in several organizations, including Frontier25, The Climate Tribe, Aurora50, Reset MENA, and Alliances for Global Sustainability.



According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikha Shamma emphasized the importance of leadership in creating impact and progress. She expressed her aspiration to make a positive difference and inspire others, noting the multicultural development of cities as global hubs. She stressed the need for continued advancement and adaptation in a rapidly changing world.



During the session, Sheikha Shamma also highlighted her involvement as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. She hosted a ‘Heritage to Horizon’ program in October 2025 for YGLs worldwide, which focused on imparting knowledge about Abu Dhabi’s history and development. Audience members shared their experiences, reflecting on the city’s growth and ambitions.



Sheikha Shamma conveyed her pride in being part of a group of influential and forward-thinking young leaders. She acknowledged the value of platforms like Davos for dialogue and knowledge-sharing, which foster learning and innovation.



With the theme of ‘A Spirit of Dialogue’ at Davos 2026, Sheikha Shamma underscored the role of collaboration in achieving climate goals and reaching the UAE’s net zero targets by 2050. She advocated for negotiation and cooperation at events like Davos and COP summits to ensure progress in climate diplomacy and build a sustainable future.
