Sharjah Crown Prince Engages with Sharjah Media Council on Media Advancement

Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, engaged with H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council (SMC), along with the Council members at the Ruler’s Office on Tuesday morning.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Sultan commended the Sharjah Media Council’s persistent efforts in advancing the emirate’s media sector, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He praised SMC’s continuous work in enhancing the media landscape and strengthening its local and global presence, emphasizing coordinated efforts among various entities to present a leading media model.

The meeting addressed several topics related to the media sector in Sharjah, focusing on enhancing media efforts, supporting integration among media entities, and reinforcing communication identity. The Crown Prince was informed about the work of the Sharjah Media Council and its legislative framework, services for media activities, and types of permits issued, highlighting collaboration with federal and local authorities.

Future plans to enhance media content and improve viewer experience were also reviewed, along with performance assessments of media channels and digital platforms. Technical initiatives aimed at improving production quality and expanding television reach were discussed in line with media sector evolution.

Efforts to enhance Sharjah’s media image, develop messaging, strengthen government communication, and address challenges were also highlighted, with an aim to unify media messages and ensure professional content delivery. The meeting also covered updates on ongoing projects and efforts to attract media companies through supportive procedures and infrastructure development, fostering innovation and solidifying Sharjah’s position as a media hub.
