Sharjah: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has unveiled the 2025 edition of the Sharjah Excellence Award, introducing an advanced fourth-generation global institutional assessment model. This initiative aligns with international standards in performance, innovation, and sustainability.
According to Emirates News Agency, the award, which operates under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, aims to bolster the competitiveness of private sector companies in the UAE and GCC. It encourages the adoption of leadership, innovation, and quality standards within institutional practices.
Previously, the award has seen participation from 600 companies across 30 sectors, including healthcare, education, industry, agriculture, and professional services. This participation underscores the award's extensive reach and its role in promoting sustainable and high-performance business models.
Registration for the latest edition is now open to Sharjah-based government institutions, private companies, and entrepreneurs from across the UAE and GCC. The award includes eight categories, such as the Sharjah Excellence Award, Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award, Sharjah SMEs Award, and Sharjah Entrepreneurs with Disability Award.
To facilitate participation, the SCCI plans to conduct awareness workshops and orientation seminars. Additionally, field visits will be organized to promote the award and clarify application criteria and procedures.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and the Award's Board of Trustees, highlighted the award as a vital component of Sharjah's vision for a knowledge-based, innovative economy. The 2024 edition witnessed a 34% increase in participation, encouraging further innovation in the upcoming edition.
Nada Al Hajri, General Coordinator of the Award, urged all eligible entities to apply and gain from the programme's developmental benefits. She stressed the award's importance in fostering a culture of excellence within the regional business community.
Interested participants must visit www.shjseen.ae to complete the registration form and submit necessary documents like a valid trade license and SCCI membership certificate. Approved applicants will receive a participation dossier. While all private sector entities in the UAE can apply, the Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award is exclusive to GCC-based businesses, and nominees for the Entrepreneurs with Disability Award are directly selected by the Board.
