Sharjah:The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) has announced the launch of Innovation Month 2026, themed 'We Are All Partners in Innovation,' as part of the UAE Innovates initiative. Spanning the month of November, the event features a comprehensive agenda designed to empower employees to explore innovative solutions to workplace challenges, develop future-ready skills, and implement creative ideas to enhance institutional performance.

According to Wam, the activities are a testament to SFD's commitment to embedding innovation within its operations, fostering an environment that encourages experimentation, learning, and knowledge exchange. The initiative aims to encourage employees to think beyond conventional approaches, enhancing their ability to adapt to change while fostering an institutional atmosphere that invests in human capital and opens new avenues for creativity and excellence.

Badr Al Ali, Director of the Corporate Development and Excellence Office at SFD, emphasized that innovation in government is now a necessity driven by the rapid pace of development and societal expectations for more efficient services. He highlighted the department's commitment to creating a work environment where employees are encouraged to share ideas and experiment with new solutions. He noted that the theme 'We Are All Partners in Innovation' underscores the belief that creativity is a collective responsibility, with every employee contributing to driving positive change.

The Innovation Month activities include practical workshops and interactive experiences combining creative thinking with modern technologies. These initiatives are designed to develop problem-solving, strategic planning, and teamwork skills and promote the use of artificial intelligence to support entrepreneurial ventures. Additionally, SFD will showcase three innovative projects in collaboration with the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, providing opportunities to exchange knowledge and best practices.

SFD's initiatives also feature knowledge-sharing activities and video content highlighting employees' contributions and innovations, alongside the recognition of outstanding ideas successfully implemented.
