Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree promoting Meera Khalifa Abdullah Almuqarrab Al Suwaidi to the position of Secretary-General of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC).

According to Emirates News Agency, the decree stipulates that Meera Al Suwaidi will be elevated to the rank of Director-General of a Department under the special job system in the Government of Sharjah. Her appointment as Secretary-General of the SCC is effective from the date of the decree's issuance.
