Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree for the appointment of members to the Sharjah Judicial Council.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Decree designates H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, as the Chairman of the newly formed council. The appointed members include Counsellor Dr Mansour Mohammed bin Nassar, who will serve as Vice-Chairman and is also the Chairman of the Sharjah Government Legal Department. Judge Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi has been appointed as the Chairman of the Judicial Department.
Other key appointments include Judge Ahmed Abdullah Al Mulla as the President of the Court of Cassation and Counsellor Anwar Amin Al Harmoudi as the Attorney General. Judge Dr Salama Rashid bin Tamim Al Ketbi will serve as the Chairman of the Judicial Inspection Department, while Judge Dr Saeed Ali Bahbouh Al Naqbi takes the role of President of the Courts of Appeal. Judge Dr Omar Obaid Al Salami has been appointed as the President of the Courts of First Instance.
