Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved 165 scholarships for students at the Sharjah Maritime Academy (SMA) for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This decision, in his capacity as President of the Sharjah Maritime Academy, marks a significant investment in the education of the region’s youth.

According to Emirates News Agency, the approved scholarships will benefit 157 male and female students who are children of Sharjah citizens. Additionally, eight scholarships are designated for students who are children of female citizens. This initiative underscores His Highness’s dedication to fostering educational opportunities for his community, ensuring that students have the chance to pursue higher education, obtain accredited degrees, and gain the necessary knowledge and skills for their future careers.
