Sharjah Ruler Welcomes Sons of Renowned Quran Reciter and Launches ‘Al Moeen’ App

Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received the sons of the late Sheikh Abdul Basit Mohammed Abdul Samad and launched the smart application 'Al Moeen' at the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah. Sheikh Sultan welcomed the guests and expressed his pride in Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad's distinguished contributions to the recitation of the Holy Quran.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Sharjah Ruler highlighted Sheikh Abdul Basit's certification in the seven Quranic readings and his profound impact on Muslims worldwide. He emphasized Sharjah's commitment to supporting initiatives and projects that serve the Holy Quran and its sciences, utilizing modern technology to preserve and transmit Quranic heritage to future generations.

The sons of Sheikh Abdul Basit expressed gratitude for the warm reception, acknowledging Sharjah's role in honoring renowned Quran reciters. Sheikh Sultan inaugurated a museum exhibit dedicated to the Sheikh's belongings, which includes photographs, personal items, and a documentary of his life and contributions to the Holy Quran.

His Highness presented a certificate of appreciation to the sons for their generous donation of their father's rare belongings to the museum. A commemorative gift was exchanged in appreciation of Sheikh Sultan's efforts in serving the Holy Quran.

During the event, Sheikh Sultan launched the 'Al Moeen' smart application, designed to enable users to recite and memorize the Quran through advanced AI technology. The app includes features such as real-time voice recognition, instant corrective feedback, and multilingual support, and will be available globally.

The reception was attended by several dignitaries, including Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Dr Khalifa Musabah Al Tuneiji, Dr Issa Saif bin Hanzal, Dr Ali Ibrahim Al Marri, and other senior officials.
