SHARJAH: The Sharjah Sports Council crowned the winners of the fourth edition of the Khorfakkan Suhub (Clouds) Challenge, organised as part of its community sports activities in collaboration with Khorfakkan Cultural and Sports Club and several sponsoring and supporting entities.
The event was a success, with 150 participants of both genders competing across four categories, plus a race for people with disabilities. Participants challenged their speed and endurance to complete an 8 km distance from the Oceanic Hotel to the summit of Al Suhub Rest Area, 600 metres above sea level.
Attendees included Abdul Malik Jani, Vice President of the Sharjah Sports Council; Salem Al Naqbi, Chairman of Khorfakkan Club; Dr. Yasser Omar Al-Doukhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department; and Abdullah Zainal, Sports Director of Khorfakkan Club.
Dr. Yasser Al-Doukhi praised the participants’ enthusiasm and the intense competition, which heightened the event’s excitement, making the fourth edition particularly
memorable. This event reflects the value of sports within the community of Sharjah and the ongoing commitment to providing top-quality community sports activities, he added.
