SIRBAI Collaborates with EDGE to Enhance AI-Driven Swarm Capabilities for UAVs

Abu dhabi: SIRBAI, a specialist in autonomous defense solutions and intelligent swarm technologies, has entered into a Strategic Partnership Agreement with EDGE, a prominent advanced technology and defense group. The partnership aims to explore collaboration opportunities to advance next-generation swarm capabilities for unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was signed by Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of TII, and Khaled Al Zaabi, President of Platforms and Systems at EDGE. The signing was witnessed by Faisal Al Bannai, Adviser to the UAE President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs and Chairman of EDGE, during the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) 2026 in Abu Dhabi. The collaboration will involve exploring the deployment of SIRBAI's advanced mission intelligence suite and AI-powered swarm technologies across EDGE's portfolio of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and autonomous platforms.

The partnership follows a series of technology demonstrations where EDGE evaluated and validated the performance of SIRBAI's mission intelligence and swarm coordination technology stack. These evaluations confirmed the operational readiness, scalability, and effectiveness of SIRBAI's technologies in real-world conditions. The decision to partner with SIRBAI was based on a technology-led selection process emphasizing proven capability, performance under operational conditions, and system-level maturity.

SIRBAI offers a comprehensive solution that consolidates command and control, mission planning, and coordination systems into a single platform. This platform simplifies complex operations, enabling operators to make faster decisions and efficiently manage UAV fleets. Its modular and scalable architecture allows for seamless integration with existing systems, supporting a wide range of operational scenarios, including intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, search and rescue, perimeter defense, convoy protection, suppression of enemy air defenses, and manned-unmanned teaming.

As part of the collaboration, SIRBAI's technology stack will be integrated across EDGE's UAV ecosystem. This includes small man-portable platforms to larger unmanned systems such as combat UAVs, MALE/HALE platforms, and UCAVs. The integration will also incorporate SIRBAI's Combat Intelligence capabilities, enhancing target recognition, threat assessment, mission-level decision support, and real-time coordination across single and multi-platform operations.

Dr. Najwa Aaraj emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating that it represents a key step forward in delivering intelligent, AI-powered defense solutions that redefine tactical autonomy and operational effectiveness. Khaled Al Zaabi highlighted EDGE's focus on building platforms that operate as part of an intelligent system rather than standalone assets, reinforcing the company's intent to deliver scalable capabilities across different operational contexts.

This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to delivering advanced technologies and solutions, empowering defense forces to respond swiftly to emerging challenges and maintain a decisive tactical edge in today's complex battlespace.
