Abu dhabi: The S and P 500 index closed higher on Tuesday as investors anticipated upcoming corporate earnings results. The market activity showed varied movements across different indices.
According to Emirates News Agency, preliminary data indicated that the S and P 500 increased by 17.07 points, or 0.23%, reaching 7430.25 points. In contrast, the Nasdaq Composite experienced a decline, falling 58.88 points, or 0.24%, to close at 24873.20 points. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a notable rise, climbing 546.61 points, or 1.05%, to settle at 52756.69 points.
