SPEA Announces Winners of 31st Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence

Sharjah: The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) announced the winners of the 31st Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, showcasing significant participation and interest. This highlights the award's success in achieving its objectives and promoting a culture of excellence in education and the community.

According to Emirates News Agency, the award's online portal saw participation from 2,486 users, competing through various judging stages. Fifty individuals were recognized as winners in two main categories: Outstanding Individuals and Outstanding Educational Institutions. Among the distinguished individuals, 39 students received the Outstanding Student award. Notable winners include Hawa Sultana Abdulaziz, Afan Aleem Mohammed Aleem Akhtar, and Sultan Abdullah Issa Ibrahim Al Mazmi from Grade 3, and Sainat Manikandan from Grade 12. Students with special needs, Suleiman Khamis Suleiman Al-Khadim Al-Antali and Aisha Khalid Ali Thani Al-Shamsi, were also honored.

In the Outstanding Teacher category, Dana Kamal Mohammed Abduljabbar secured first place, while Hanan Mahmoud Moussa Buwadi earned second. Fatima Ismail Mohammed Al-Sarairah was recognized in the Outstanding Support Staff category. Vijaya Rohini Ravi Jayakumar won the Outstanding Parent Award, followed by Yasmin Marwan Zahra and Moza Mubarak Obaid Ahmed Al-Zahmi.

The Outstanding Nursery Award was awarded to the General Directorate of the Amiri Guard Nursery, with Jumana Bint Abi Talib Nursery in second place. Applied Technology Schools - Fujairah - Boys' School received the Outstanding School Award, with Al-Tumooh School as runner-up. The International Protection Centre of the General Directorate of Drug Control, Dubai Police General Headquarters, was recognized for Outstanding Educational Support Institutions and Partnerships.

Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of SPEA, expressed appreciation for all involved, highlighting the award's role in supporting excellence in education. Ali Al Hosani, Director-General of SPEA, praised the high standards of this year's entries, reflecting the educational field's commitment to continuous improvement. Alia Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, reaffirmed the award's dedication to supporting outstanding individuals, enhancing their participation, and empowering them to achieve excellence.

The winners will be honored at an official ceremony on Sunday, February 15, 2026, celebrating their achievements and pursuit of innovation.
