Makkah: The stc Group has continued to enhance its readiness to serve the millions of pilgrims during the Hajj season by providing a comprehensive range of innovative digital solutions and services that ensure the highest levels of quality to facilitate the smooth and easy performance of rituals.

The digital solutions offered by stc Group are essential for keeping up with modern developments and contributing to achieving sustainable growth in the system of serving the guests of Allah.

The group also aims to enhance the pilgrims’ experience by developing innovative products and adopting communication technologies that meet global standards, providing a seamless digital experience.

With a keen focus on enhancing and improving its services, stc has organized a comprehensive plan to study call and data traffic during the Ramadan season. The plan involves analyzing performance indicators to activate and deliver telephone and data services before and during the Hajj season.

Additionally, the plan includes netwo
rk element status checks, implementing preventive maintenance tasks, conducting necessary tests to verify the operational status of network elements, analyzing telephone traffic paths and data flow, and developing appropriate precautionary plans.

As part of its efforts to enhance the spiritual experience of visitors to the Holy Kaaba, the group has increased the number of services provided. In this regard, the group has strengthened its network by installing over 1,200 sites supporting 5G technology, over 1,900 Wi-Fi access points, and more than 3,000 sites for internal solutions.

These services aim to facilitate communication between pilgrims and their families.

Moreover, over 300 indoor networks have been established to support and provide data services for pilgrims, and the capacity for international call traffic has increased by 100%.

The group has also dedicated an independent team comprising over 1,000 technicians from various specialities to work in the field and control centers, alongside more tha
n 470 fully-equipped emergency vehicles fitted with the latest equipment.

Additionally, the group has established over 85 monitoring and maintenance centers distributed in the holy sites, adopted a plan for redeploying mobile sites in line with pilgrim movements and peak hours, provided over 200 cars and motorcycles for swift response to incidents, and deployed over 70 mobile communication vehicles to ensure optimal coverage and call quality.

To ensure the highest quality for pilgrims, the group has implemented advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and data analysis to verify readiness for the Hajj season.

In addition, network monitoring systems have been equipped with automatic notification features in case of service disruptions, the ability to open tickets automatically, and real-time monitoring of network performance and its components.

These integrated efforts aim to enhance the quality of communication and internet services provided to pilgrims, aligning with the Pilgrim Experie
nce Program within the Saudi Vision 2030. They also aim to enrich the pilgrims’ experience and ensure their comfort during the rituals.
