Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, led a meeting at the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority headquarters to discuss the advancement of the emirate's media sector. H.H. highlighted the significant contributions of media institutions in portraying Sharjah's achievements and emphasized the importance of continuous development and coordination to enhance media content and maintain Sharjah's status as a leading media hub. According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting covered topics related to the progress of media operations and development plans, aiming to elevate television programming quality and overall media content. The Council reviewed a report on strategic indicators for Sharjah's media entities for 2026, focusing on performance metrics such as Emiratisation, training, employee satisfaction, media engagement, production, innovation, partnerships, and media investment. The Council examined the performance of media enti ties in digital growth, content, services, and operational efficiency. The discussion included plans for assessing Emiratisation within media institutions and developing performance indicators to support informed decision-making. The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority's report highlighted digital video library outputs, production volumes, and performance, emphasizing the platforms' role in documenting educational and official events. Furthermore, the Council reviewed the Sharjah Government Media Bureau's future vision for enhancing Sharjah's identity through design and urban initiatives. The report outlined strategic pillars for brand performance, growth drivers, and collaboration with government entities, along with an AI-powered platform to improve government communication. The Council also assessed the Sharjah Media City (Shams) report, noting growth in projects, partnerships, and media activities.
