Sultan bin Ahmed Presides Over UOS Fall 2025 Women’s Graduation Ceremony

Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, led the graduation ceremony for 664 female students who received their bachelor's degrees from various colleges at the University of Sharjah (UOS) in two separate ceremonies.

According to Emirated News Agency, the first ceremony saw 335 graduates from the Colleges of Business Administration, Engineering, Computing and Informatics, and Science, while the second ceremony included 329 graduates from the Colleges of Communication, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Public Policy, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Fine Arts and Design, and Law.

The graduation ceremonies commenced with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates and a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an. Dr. Essam Al Din Ajami, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, delivered a speech expressing gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his support and presence. He congratulated the graduates and their families for their academic accomplishments.

Dr. Ajami emphasized the university's commitment to its academic mission and the development of its students. He noted, "The university was never merely walls and halls, but a message and a promise, a promise to develop the human being." He highlighted the university's dedication to linking knowledge with values and steering scientific research towards addressing real-world challenges.

He further acknowledged the University of Sharjah's esteemed status, remarking on its strategic choice for excellence and leadership, recognized by numerous international ranking institutions. He stressed the university's advancement beyond traditional academia into a hub for knowledge production and technological innovation.

The chancellor concluded by encouraging graduates to embrace their roles as educated women capable of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the scientific and technological sectors.

Graduate Hind Musallam Al Marzouqi from the College of Computing and Informatics spoke on behalf of her peers, expressing gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his visionary leadership and support. She also thanked the university's administration, faculty, and the graduates' parents for their contributions to the students' success.

Reem Salah Al Hashemi from the College of Law echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the university's role in enriching their learning experiences and personal growth. She highlighted the opportunities provided by the university that helped build confidence and foster self-expression among students.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi distributed certificates to all graduates from the various colleges, congratulating them and wishing them success in their future endeavors.
