At least two people died in southern China following the heavy rainfall and winds caused by Super Typhoon Yagi, and least 92 people were injured.
According to dpa today, the two deaths occurred in the city of Ding’an on the island of Hainan.
Yagi made landfall on Friday in Hainan and parts of the neighboring mainland province of Guangdong, and raged through the night.
More than 2,200 workers were mobilized to restore power to over 1.5 million affected households in Hainan.
Yagi had previously ravaged the Philippines, where it claimed at least 16 lives.
