Syrian Business Council in UAE Condemns Attack on UAE Embassy in Damascus


Dubai: The Syrian Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates has strongly condemned the recent acts of rioting and vandalism targeting the United Arab Emirates’ diplomatic mission in Damascus. The attack was reportedly carried out by a small group of outlaws affiliated with the Iranian regime, most of whom are non-Syrians.



According to Emirates News Agency, the Council emphasized that these acts represent a clear violation of international norms and conventions, which ensure the protection of diplomatic missions. The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, along with the Honorary Committee of the Syrian Business Council, have urged the Syrian government to initiate an immediate investigation. They called for the identification, accountability, and prosecution of those involved, in accordance with legal procedures.



In their statement, the Council highlighted the United Arab Emirates’ longstanding role as a welcoming host to the Syrian community, having provided a dignified and safe environment for hundreds of thousands of Syrians. The UAE’s support has allowed Syrians to contribute to the nation’s development and prosperity.



The Syrian community in the UAE expressed profound gratitude to the nation, reaffirming their support for the UAE against any attacks or offenses. They reiterated their commitment to the values of loyalty and belonging that bind them with the UAE.
