TGA Conducts over 9,000 Road Inspections in Makkah and Madinah on 6th of Dhul-Hijjah

Makkah, On the sixth day of Dhul-Hijjah, regulatory teams from the Transport General Authority (TGA) conducted over 9,000 road inspections on various transportation means operating during this year’s Hajj season in Makkah and Madinah.

Through its campaigns, the TGA documented over 1,000 traffic violations and over 170 violations recorded using automated technologies, with a compliance rate of 92%.

The inspections uncovered a range of violations, including operating a transport vehicle without a valid operating card, drivers not adhering to the approved attire set by the TGA, driving without a valid driver’s license and the absence of proper documentation for transporting goods.

The TGA stated that these regulatory inspections are part of their participation in this year’s Hajj season, 1445 AH, and aim to ensure the provision of transportation services in accordance with safety and security requirements.

These efforts also seek to improve the efficiency and quality of pilgrim services and ensure their avai
lability until the end of the Hajj season.
