Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Honours Winners of 2nd Emirates Labour Market Award.


ABU DHABI: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the winners of the second edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award were honoured by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Chairman of the award’s Supervisory Committee, in a ceremony held today by the ministry at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi). During the ceremony, 84 winners including companies and workers were honoured, selected out of 7,700 applications submitted across the award’s five main categories, with a total prize pool valued at AED37 million.

According to Emirates News Agency, applications were evaluated by expert committees based on criteria such as employment and
empowerment, occupational health and safety, creativity and innovation, talent acquisition, labour relations and wages, and social responsibility, among several other comprehensive, integrated and category-specific criteria. On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed pride in the UAE Government’s vision, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to create an inspiring example of excellence and innovation across all sectors. He commended the contributions of the award submissions in supporting the UAE’s strategic objectives and enhancing its global competitiveness.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar thanked H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his support and highlighted the award’s role in enhancing competitiveness in the business environment. He noted the high quality of submissions and their alignment with the vision of excellence and innovation. Al Awar also extended gratitude to the award’s sponsors and everyone who contributed to the
success of this edition.

In the Companies category, 24 companies were honoured across nine subcategories. Notable winners include Oceaneering OIS Company in the Mining and Quarrying sector, Emirates District Cooling (Emicool) in Manufacturing, and Sharjah Co-operative Society in Wholesale and Retail Trade. The Labour Accommodation category recognised Labotel Workers Village and Al Eskan Al Jamae, among others, for their investment in worker housing facilities.

The Business Services Partners category awarded Smart Global Domestic Workers Services Centre, Profile Recruitment, and Tawjeeh Services Centre for their excellence. In the Workforce category, distinguished workers across various fields were honoured, including Hamad Suhail Al Awadhi from Binghatti Development and Nashwa Mohammed Mustafa Al-Sayed from Burjeel Hospital.

The newly introduced Special Recognition category honoured Al Fahim Group for exemplary practices and initiatives such as the Talabat Rest initiative. Companies securing first place re
ceive benefits including MoHRE Diamond classification and financial savings. The workforce awards provide cash prizes for first, second, and third place winners.

The award is sponsored by 14 companies in the UAE, including DAMAC and Majid Al Futtaim groups as diamond sponsors, supporting labour market initiatives in line with their commitment to social responsibility.
