Toyota’s Global Sales Hit Record in May

Tokyo: Toyota Motor Corporation announced that its global sales increased for the fifth consecutive month in May, achieving a record for the month.

According to Emirates News Agency, worldwide sales rose by 6.9 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 898,721 vehicles in May. This growth was fueled by strong demand in North America, China, and Japan, with sales in the United States increasing by nearly 11 percent.

However, Toyota reported a slight decline in its global vehicle production, which decreased by 0.7 percent year-on-year in May. This marked the first production drop in five months and was attributed to fewer operating days in Japan. The reported figures also encompass Toyota's luxury brand, Lexus.
