TRENDS Research and Advisory Celebrates 11th Anniversary with Global Recognition

Abu dhabi: TRENDS Research and Advisory today celebrated its 11th anniversary, showcasing a record of achievements that have established its position as one of the most prominent think tanks in the region and the world. The celebration coincided with an honour bestowed upon TRENDS by the Meeting of Muslim Religious Leaders of BRICS Countries, where its CEO, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, was awarded the title of 'Person of the Year 2025' for his role in fostering cooperation through research and innovation.

According to Emirates News Agency, TRENDS has rapidly secured a significant position among international research institutions with its forward-looking research vision. The organization has produced 1,688 reports and special studies, 1,183 research papers, and published 1,143 articles and studies externally. It has released 343 scholarly publications, including books in multiple languages, and expanded its research partnerships to 342 institutions across more than 45 countries.

Dr. Al-Ali emphasized that these achievements mark the beginning of a more ambitious journey, with TRENDS becoming a strategic partner in building a better future globally. The TRENDS International Training Institute plays a key role in human capacity development, offering training programs in collaboration with leading global institutes to meet changing labor market demands.

TRENDS is actively involved in academic events, having organized 298 scientific events such as conferences and symposia. It has participated in significant international gatherings, including the World Economic Forum in Davos and the International Conference in Rio de Janeiro. The Global Barometer Department collaborates with partners at various levels to provide monthly and annual studies for decision-making support.

In recognition of its contributions, TRENDS has received several prestigious awards, including the Leading Institution in Counter-Extremism Award from the UK Foreign Office. Its media sector has developed a comprehensive communication system, achieving substantial digital engagement and launching innovative platforms like the TRENDS Research smart application and podcast.

TRENDS has also prioritized Emirati talent through a strategic human resources plan, achieving Emiratisation targets and winning the Emirates Labour Market Award for two consecutive years.
