Trump Halts Military Action Against Iran Amid Potential Peace Deal

Abu dhabi: US President Donald Trump announced the cancellation of a planned military strike against Iran, stating that Iran and certain other Middle Eastern nations have requested additional time to finalize the framework of a peace agreement. The development comes with Israel also committing to the potential deal.

According to Emirates News Agency, Trump shared on the Truth Social platform that the parties involved have agreed upon the 'perimeters' of a possible agreement. This includes the "immediate, complete, and total" reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the cessation of Iran's nuclear ambitions. Trump emphasized that his decision to call off the military attack aims for the "future benefit of the world" and the "survival of a successful and prosperous Iran," contingent on the parties rapidly reaching a deal.
