Tunisian Wassim wins African version of Emirates Warriors

Tunisian Wassim Hammami won the African version of the Emirates Warriors championship for mixed martial arts, after defeating Moroccan Badreddine Diani in the main fight in the middleweight, which was held at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

The event witnessed 13 thrilling fights, and the winners were crowned by Fouad Darwish, Chairman of the Organising Committee and CEO of Palms Sports Company, the event organiser, and was attended by Tariq Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the UAE Muaythai Federation, Secretary General of the Arab Federation and member of the Executive Office of the International Federation.

Hammami expressed his happiness with the first title in the African Championship and thanked the capital, Abu Dhabi, the organizing committee.
