Turkish Foreign Minister, NATO Chief Discuss Developments in Grain Export Deal

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday discussed over phone the latest developments in a range of international issues.

A statement by Turkish Foreign Ministry said the their talks covered steps for the revival of the Black Sea grain deal, Sweden’s NATO bid, and the latest developments in Ukraine.

On July 17, 2023, Moscow refused to extend the grain export agreement signed in Istanbul on July 22, 2022 between the United Nations, Russia, Turkiye, and Ukraine, saying it will return to the implementation of the grain export deal when the part of the deal related to Russia is implemented.
