UAE and Pakistan Presidents Explore Enhanced Economic and Trade Relations


Abu dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan engaged in discussions focusing on the enhancement of bilateral ties, with a particular emphasis on economic, trade, and investment collaborations. This dialogue occurred during President Zardari’s working visit to the UAE, held at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.



According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting underscored the ongoing Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) negotiations, which both leaders believe could significantly advance their economic and trade relations. Additionally, the discussions extended to various regional and international issues of shared interest, emphasizing the necessity of dialogue and diplomatic resolutions to ensure peace and stability.



President Sheikh Mohamed highlighted Pakistan’s current role on the United Nations Security Council as an opportunity for increased cooperation with the UAE at the global level, aiming to support regional and international stability. President Zardari reiterated the robust nature of UAE-Pakistan relations and expressed his country’s commitment to further developing bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic sector, to foster new partnerships and mutual prosperity.



The meeting was attended by prominent members of the UAE’s leadership, including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and other key officials. They were joined by ministers, senior officials, and the delegation accompanying President Zardari, signaling the importance of the discussions and the commitment of both nations to their shared objectives.
